Patrick Quichaud
Accordionist • Luthier • Teacher • Paris
“Over 50 years of passion for the accordion: from stage to workshop, from teaching to creation.”
Discover my journeyBiography

It all began at the age of 7, at 80 rue Daguerre in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Pushing open the door of PARIS ACCORDÉON, affectionately nicknamed "the little yellow shop", Patrick Quichaud discovered far more than an instrument: a calling. In this "village" neighborhood where he would become an iconic figure, he quickly learned to play, repair, tune, and understand the history of this instrument that would never leave his side.
For over 50 years, Patrick has shared his passion between stage, workshop, and teaching. A versatile musician, he has participated in theatrical productions, international festivals (Quebec, Romania), and supported community projects with disability centers and retirement homes. He has also composed original music for shows and recorded two albums paying tribute to swing and Jo Privat.
A recognized luthier-restorer-dealer, Patrick has also created two diatonic accordion brands — Celsio and Parigi — as well as a dedicated learning method for this instrument. His artisanal approach combines technical expertise with human connection, serving all accordion enthusiasts.
A unique journey marked by authenticity and the passion of passing on a living musical heritage.
Repair & Tuning
Every accordion deserves careful and professional attention. Patrick works on all types of acoustic accordions — chromatic, diatonic, composed bass — all brands and all systems.
From minor repairs to complete restoration, including tuning revision, each intervention respects the art of the accordion maker-tuner.

Expertise & Advice
Purchase and rental advice
Buying, selling, or renting an accordion requires expert insight. Patrick guides amateur and professional musicians in choosing the right instrument for their style and musical project. With his in-depth knowledge of the market and different systems, he offers clear, honest advice to guide every decision.
Historical and cultural expertise
Over the decades, Patrick has built a precious collection of antique instruments tracing the history of the accordion, along with audio and documentary archives, and a photographic collection. This deep knowledge of "Old Paris", musette, and gypsy jazz positions him as a consultant for film, theatrical, and editorial projects.
He also offers lectures, reviews of specialized articles or books, and thematic workshops for schools, conservatories, and associations. He also provides antique instrument rentals for cinema or events.
Personalized Lessons
Learning the accordion is first and foremost about cultivating the joy of playing. Patrick teaches button accordion, chromatic piano, composed bass, and diatonic, for all audiences and without age limits.
Each lesson is adapted to the student's pace, with a caring pedagogical approach born from many years of teaching.
“Whether you're a beginner or an accomplished musician, it's never too late to start or improve.”
The essential thing remains the transmission of an authentic passion for this unique instrument.
Musical Entertainment

Patrick offers musical performances for all types of events: private dinners, accordion-bar, themed evenings, inaugurations, and village festivals.
Solo or accompanied by real musicians — double bassist, drummer, singer — he creates a warm atmosphere around the Parisian repertoire, swing, jazz, and popular tunes.
His performances prioritize authenticity: no machines, no sequences, only live music to make people dance and bring them together.
An artistic presence dedicated to your moments of sharing.
